Rustic River Outfitters is a destination spot for all outdoor enthusiasts.  Our facility appeals to many segments of adventure seekers to hike local trails, bicycle on-road or off-road courses, or taking to the water on a kayak or canoe. There are three fire pits located under the wooded canopy within eyeshot of the reservoir where friends and family can gather to share stories and enjoy nature. Located just south of Huntington and five miles East of Salamonie Lake off of IN-9, new adventures are at your fingertips.

Our goal at Rustic River Outfitters is to bring people together to promote healthier communities. One aspect of a healthy community is the existence of public parks, trails, and other outdoor areas. These provide enhanced opportunities for physical activity, as well as personal and communal health.  Rustic River Outfitters hopes to enhance these qualities by bringing people together to enjoy what nature has provided us right in our own community.

Rent a canoe and or kayak to explore the Salamonie Reservoir or Salamonie River through any of our four access points. If you are striving for a new adventure, you can take a trip on the beautiful Wabash River or maybe there are secret waters that you know of. You can rent a kayak or canoe for the day and take it for a leisurely trip. Then when you are done and the exploration is accomplished you can return to the Ole Sawmill and indulge in some of our delicious ice cream, candies, and sodas that we offer down in our Cafe.
